LONG SERVICE LIFE
Vacuum adsorption molding of alumina fiber inorganic materials, heating element for the electric group wire (Beijing Shougang HRE)
INORGANIC MATERIAL
Double-layer sheet metal, hot chamber + furnace liner + insulation layer + inner liner + air insulation layer + shell. There is also fan forced cooling between the inner liner and the outer shell, which greatly improves the problem of hot stove shell.

PID CONTROL
Adopt fuzzy PID control to control temperature with accuracy up to 1℃.
Updated touch-screen control is easier to set the temperature segments!
DOUBLE-LAYER AIR-COOLED MACHANISM
Furnace body adopts double-layer air-cooling mechanism, when the furnace burns to the highest temperature, the surface temperature of the shell is less than 60°C.

INSULATION MATERIALS
Adopting a variety of thermal insulation materials, the furnace is small in size and consumes less energy (power consumption is 1/4 of the power consumption of similar products).

Box Furnace Safety & Operating Precautions
A 1200°C box furnace (muffle furnace) is a powerful tool, but it can also be dangerous if used incorrectly. Here’s a quick and essential guide to using your furnace safely and keeping it running like new. Read this before you hit that “Start” button! ⚠️
✅ Before You Start – Pre‑Operation Checklist
- Check the power supply: Make sure the voltage matches the furnace rating. Use a dedicated, grounded outlet and ensure the circuit breaker is properly sized.
- Inspect the chamber: Look inside – is it clean and dry? Remove any dust, debris, or leftover samples from previous runs.
- Check the thermocouple: Ensure it’s properly inserted and secured. A loose thermocouple = wrong temperature readings!
- Prepare your samples: Samples must be completely dry and free of oils, solvents, or volatile organics. Wet samples can release steam that damages the insulation.
- Place samples correctly: Use a refractory sample boat or tray. Do not overload the chamber – leave space for hot air circulation. Never place samples directly on the chamber floor.
🔥 During Operation – Do’s and Don’ts
DO:
- Set the temperature slowly – recommended ramp rate ≤10°C/min to avoid thermal shock.
- Stay nearby during the first few runs to monitor the temperature controller and ensure the furnace reaches setpoint smoothly.
- Use the programmable controller to create multi‑step heating/cooling profiles if needed.
- Keep the exhaust port open (if equipped) to allow gases/vapors to escape.
DON’T:
- ❌ Never exceed the rated maximum temperature – for a 1200°C furnace, continuous use should stay ≤1100°C. Overheating burns out elements and melts insulation.
- ❌ Never open the door while the furnace is hot – this causes rapid cooling and can crack the alumina chamber. Wait until the temperature drops below 200°C.
- ❌ Never pour any liquid into the chamber – even accidentally. Spilled liquids cause thermal shock and degrade the refractory.
- ❌ Never melt metals, salts, or glass directly inside without a suitable containment crucible – molten material can seep into the insulation and ruin it.
- ❌ Never use sharp tools to scrape the chamber walls – you’ll damage the fragile insulation.
- ❌ Never leave the furnace unattended for long periods during initial heating or if it’s showing abnormal readings.
🧪 Sample Loading Tips
- Position samples in the center of the chamber – the temperature is most uniform there.
- For multiple samples, space them evenly to allow heat to circulate.
- If you’re processing materials that release fumes, ensure the ventilation system is on and the exhaust is directed to a fume hood.
❄️ After Use – Cool Down Properly
- Turn off the heating, but leave the furnace closed and let it cool naturally to room temperature. Do not open the door prematurely – that’s the fastest way to crack the chamber.
- Once the temperature falls below 200°C, you may open the door slightly to speed cooling, but avoid a sudden rush of cold air.
- After the furnace is completely cool (room temperature), remove samples carefully.
- Clean the chamber with a soft brush or vacuum to remove any residue. Never use water or solvents to clean the inside.
How to Maintain A Muffle Furnace?
Furnace Chamber Cleaning
After each use, allow the furnace to cool completely—ideally to room temperature or below 80°C—before cleaning. Use a vacuum cleaner or a soft-bristled brush to remove oxide scale, metal debris, and residual sample powders from the chamber floor and walls. Never use metal tools or sharp instruments to scrape the interior, as this can damage the refractory lining and compromise insulation performance.
For stubborn stains, wipe with a soft cloth dipped in alcohol. The furnace bottom should be checked regularly for ash accumulation—monthly cleaning is recommended.
External Surfaces and Control Panel
Wipe dust off the furnace casing with a dry cloth daily to prevent moisture from entering the electrical compartment. On the control panel, use a slightly damp soft cloth and dry immediately; avoid using organic solvents
